Itinerary
In the morning, flight to Tanzania. Arrival at Kilimanjero International Airport meet by your guide and drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way you'll take in the changing landscape as Arusha's urban jungle is replaced by wide open plains and quaint Masai villages. Once inside the park, you'll see the eponymous Tarangire river lined with acacia and Baobab where game amble to and from throughout the day. During the dry season, thousands of animals from the Masai steppe migrate to the Tarangire region looking for water so you can see dozens of different species in a small amount of time. Exclusive to the park are endangered animals such as the Greater Kudu, FringeEared Oryx, and the Ashy Starling. Mid-day, you will stop at a picturesque location where you will enjoy a "bush lunch" in the open air. later spending the afternoon, see an amazing range of wildlife. In the evening proceed to Karatu Village. Overnight in Marera Valley Lodge.
A highlight awaits you this day as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the world’s largest natural wildlife arena. After breakfast, you depart with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists into the Ngorongoro crater. You'll stop at the Ngorongoro viewing area for a stunning view of the caldera's sheer scale. From here you'll continue our descent into the caldera, where over 120 species of mammals go about their lives. The park is the best place in the northern circuit to see the black rhinoceros and the cape buffalo, but is home to the entirety of the Big Five. We'll also see large packs of hyenas as well as lesser known predators such as jackals and serval cats. A picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool is also a surreal experience, as you'll take your lunch a few feet from where great hippopotamus wallow lazily in the cool water Across six hours, you'll see the very best that Africa has to offer. After breakfast, your safari adventure takes you to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is renowned for its remarkable ecological diversity, encompassing a range of distinct zones, from the rocky Rift wall to groundwater forests, woodlands, open grasslands, and serene swamps. Lake Manyara National Park is a true haven for biodiversity. Lake Manyara is particularly famous as a birding paradise, boasting more than 380 different bird species. Bird enthusiasts will have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of feathered wonders, including flamingos, pelicans, storks, and many more. Wildlife and Scenic Exploration: As you explore the park, keep your eyes peeled for the park's resident wildlife, which includes elephants, hippos, giraffes, and a diversity of antelope species. Additionally, you may encounter the famous tree-climbing lions that are unique to this region. Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the park's natural beauty, providing a peaceful moment to refuel and appreciate the surroundings. Overnight in Marera Valley Lodge.
In the morning, free leisure time at you hotel. In the late afternoon, transfer to airport for flight back to Addis. End of the trip.
