Breakfast, drive to Madaba; the city of the Mosaic (see right) where the finest mosaic found to date is still in its original place on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. This huge well -preserved work of art comprises a map of the entire region from Jordan and Palestine in the north, to Egypt in the south. Many towns and cities are depicted in picture ture form. Mt. Nebo; The believed Burial place of Moses overlooking Jordan Valley and Dead Sea. Bethany Beyond The Jordan; where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, one of the greatest Christen faith sites in the world, indulge yourself with the possibility of renewing your baptism in the Jordan River. Dead Sea free time for swimming and floating on the lowest point on earth where nothing sinks. Immerse yourself with the massages and the spa treatments offered at Dead Sea hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast, drive to Lot’s cave; Lot and his family were told to flee the city, but not to look back. Unfortunately his wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. After escaping, Lot and his daughters hid in a cave where they watched the awesome destruction of the wicked cities. Makawir: the Palace of Herod where John the Baptist was beheaded by Herod. Kings Way; the Highway was the route that Moses wished to follow as he led his people north through the land of Edom, which is in southern Jordan. Moses Springs: The spring where Moses struck water from a rock as he and his people passed through en route to the Promised Land. Overnight.
Breakfast, start full day tour of the second wonder of the world; Petra, the city that was hidden for centuries until 1812 when it was discovered by John Burkhart. Rose-Red- City “, carved from living rock over 2,000 years ago by the Nabateans . It can only be reached by horseback through a narrow defile or “SIQ“ flanked by towering cliffs . The sudden view of Petra’s most spectacular monument, the “Khazneh“ or Treasury , the end of the Siq is a dramatic sight. Drive to Aqaba for overnight.
Breakfast, free day at leisure for swimming and relaxing by the beach of the Aqaba Gulf.Wadi Rum: Stunning in its natural beauty, Wadi Rum epitomizes the romance of the desert. With its “moonscape” of ancient valleys and towering sandstone mountains rising out of the sand, Wadi Rum is also home to several Bedouin tribes who live in scattered camps throughout the area. 2 hours Jeep tour in the desert by the open Bedouin jeeps. Then drive to Amman for overnight.
